300+miles. Do yours have a slight tapping sound from the engine. I'm not sure if it's a pulley, valve or normal sound for this car. Thanks.

 

If it's more like a ticking sound, it's the direct (fuel) injection. Totally normal for any direct-injected motor.

Mine TicTap was gettin' me nuts. I thought someone over did it when test driving or I over revved 4500 rpms a few times. Just bought this Mini.

While we're on the subject....what is the difference Electronic and Direct FI

 

Direct injection puts the fuel directly into the cylinder.
