misfire?

i had an experience today with my MINI - not sure what it was all about. i was accelerating from a stand still in 1st gear and the car would barely move, but it seemed like there was a lot of noise coming from the rear of the car (exhaust?). i let up off the gas and tried again with the same result. i didn't notice any check engine lights.

my 2010 MCS has 3400 miles on it and it's the first time i've experienced this. yesterday evening i did notice the lights for the fuel indicator kept going dim and then brightening up while i was driving. very odd.

is the fun just beginning for me?

Does yours have the JCW Tuning Kit? There are some errors with the latest ECU upgrade with it causing a few similar issues.

I'm not much of a mechanic so I am not sure but maybe someone else will chime in. It could be as simple as something being loose from the factory since you have so little miles, the dealer should take care of you.

I wouldn't worry about this being the beginning of more to come. Once they get that straightened out you should have many years of fun motoring ahead of you!

This is acommon problem during the evening hours. it has to do with the day night sensor adjusting the interior lights as the light getting to the sensor pass above and below the threshold for day/night change.

As for you other problemIi have no ide have not heard this without some sort of check engine light.

I think this is not an established fact yet but conjecture or educated guesses on the part of a few NAMers.
