Mini Leaking Fluids by Tires and Foul/Rotten Egg Smell

Hello,

Today when I stopped at the market, I noticed a funky smell, I was in a bad neighborhood so I thought it was just a street smell. I was gone for 10-15 minutes and when I returned I realized it was my little Midori that smelled. I also noticed leaking of fluids by my right passenger and rear tires. I am home now and the smell is still there and now there is leaking around all four tires plus some place under the hood/car. :-(

My car is a 2006 Cooper Automatic. It just so happens I have an oil service at a new mechanic shop tomorrow. Any idea what it could be? I started reading some posts and could it be the catalytic converter? If so, any idea on how much it should cost around?

Please help and thank you!

At first it looked greenish/yellowish. When I wiped it it looks oily (yellowish?) with lots of brown spot. It just smells really foul, sewer/rotten egg like. The weird thing was I even noticed some on my passenger outside view mirror (not the mirror part but the back of it) how would that be even possible? I also do not drive that fast. I was just commuting home and just got off the freeway.

it almost sounds like you may have a blown head gasket the coolant will mix with the oil then and smell and apear brownish and for the fliud on the mirror may have got kicked up by the wheel

Is it possible your car has either been sprayed by, or has hit a skunk? Here's a picture of the musk spray from a skunk. It's sort of yellowish in color: http://www.humboldt.edu/~wfw2/skunkspray.shtml

Hello,

Happy to report no leak!!! The mechanic was concerned at first because it was leaking bad but when the raised the car up, there was no leak! He even showed it to me. He said I must have ran over a puddle of oil, it seemed really thick, and the tires just splashed it around the fender wheels. I don't think I'll be stopping at the ghetto market anymore. They wiped it down and I took it to a car wash.

What a relief!! Thank you both so much!
