Sure it's not the A/C compressor ?

I dont think so, I never heard sounds like this in other cars. Its when i rev the car or when supercharger is boosting it sounds like a deeper tone and a weaker tone. Kind of hard to describe.

My ac makes an odd noise when I have it on as well, at all rev's. It's always been that way.

Definitely sounds like a baseball card in the spokes here. Gets louder after the car sits at a stoplight for a little, then quiets as it cools down again. I'm afraid my compressor is about to take a dump.

mine started making a strange noise also.

reading some other threads, they seem to say its a work AC comressor bearing. RPM dependant....

I've got this too...just started this summer. 43k miles on my 2005.

It's a whirring wheezy noise.

I feel like it's only in super hot *** humid crapy mid-atlantic summer weather. When it's cooler out or raining and I do it to defog the windshield I don't think i notice it as much.

The AC still works fine, so I'm not sure it's a "problem" other than sounding weird. I don't remember it last summer though. Would be nice to know the cause.
