Seafoam on 93K engine and ... hardly any smoke
Seafoam on 93K engine and ... hardly any smoke
I dumped about 1/3 of the can in the vacuum side of the PCV tube that comes off the rear left side of my 03 MCS. It sucked it in easily and after a 40 min sit or so, I fired it up. There was a bit of smoke, but certainly no fog machine. I was wondering if I used the newbie tube and not the correct one.
Any experts want to chime in?
I have only had the car 3 weeks now so all I know is the other owner had a boatload of receipts in the glovebox, but not too much more than that.
What is the expert opinion on this? I still have 2/3 more to put in the "pro" tube if I nubbed out.
EDIT:
Opps, newb move...wrong forum....feel free to move it to the right place....

I did my new 04 with 111k miles and also didn't get much smoke. If you don't wait long, say 15-30 minutes, you'll see more smoke. Most of the smoke is just the seafoam, not carbon. So the longer it sits and dries, the less smoke.
I'm just trying to think it through. I will try it again tomorrow, and give it the 5 min test. Also, I didn't stall it out at the end, I walked around and shut the car off. I will either stall it in the end or more likely have the wife there as helper.
