I agree with Greatbear. When all you are doing is maintaining a good population of electrons in your battery, there is no need to spend any more on a trickle charger than necessary.
I'd suggest whatever is the cheapest trickle charger available at a discount or auto parts store, as I am "positive" that non-bmw electrons will not have any "negative" effect upon your battery "D

I know this is a link to a Motorcycle parts website (and one I use often among others) but will any of these work?

I don't know the prices or spec's on what the MINI uses. I was just thinking about geting one for my bike. I have never needed one before, sinceeven here in NJ, my winterizing is just put bike on race stands after a good full tank of stabilzer and gas, then a run in for 20 minutes every 2 weeks and then back up on the race stands.
Just tossing it out there.
