HELP I cant open my passenger door from inside or out

It was working before I took off the door panel to install sound insulation and new speakers. No problems.

Once finished I reinstalled the door panel, and now this:

- when unlocking the car the passenger side pops up and down spastically a few times

- passenger door always "looks" open (thing next to the window looks "up")

I CANT OPEN THE PASSENGER DOOR FROM INSIDE OR OUT, which means I cant pull off the door panel to see whats wrong.

ANY IDEAS?!!!!

There are many recent door related threads in this sub-forum. At least two address how to get the panel off with the door closed....

I figured it out on my own.

Solution:

-(4 torque bolts) Remove the passenger seat
-Remove door panel torque screws
-YANK off door panel, use force and anger as the corner is stuck in place
-Reach in, and manually open the door with the latch while usng the interior door handle
-Reset the battery

I couldn't find anything wrong inside, and when I reassembled everything, and now it works again.

I blame it on German AIDS. Apparently AIDS comes standard in all German cars, but is manageable and non-lethal now a days.

ok. i encountered it AGAIN. the door panel SLIGHTLY pushes on the lock arm (the one that pokes out of the door panel) and causes the problem.

solution? Bend it into an acceptable non rubbing shape. Stupid Germans.

Also, DO NOT TAKE OFF YOUR DOOR PANEL. you can push the lock tip towards the outside of the car from inside the car while hitting unlock, and it will start "working" again.
