Codes EML and idle issues

P1237, P1688 and EML, the P1688 threw it into limp mode, cleared the codes got it home, took off the VGS and boost gauge, now idling over 1.5k with reving to 2.5k when foot is off the gas, car will continue to accelerate for about 5 seconds before reducing the throttle. EML is still on, could not get it to throw more codes, would not complete the cycle in 20minutes of mixed city and rural driving.

I'm going to get new hoses for the VGS, to eliminate those as possible leak source, and see if I can't get the BPV forced opened and closed, as I'm suspecting the BPV is going to be the source.

Interested to hear other input as if I need to order a BPV I'll probably have about a week before it arrives.

Checked the serpintine belt and it looks new on the ribbed side, glazed on the smooth side, it's got a little under 20k mi on it so it should still be in good shape.

Fuel is shell as I got the P1237 earlier this week and ran some injector cleaner and shell through to make sure it wasn't a tank of bad gas.

Threw P1109 and P1242 (actron tool only, not present on the SGII) on the way to autozone for some vaccum hose.

Replaced the VGS with new lines, and eliminated the boost gauge from the equation entirely (It's been out of use since I put the SGII in anyways) and there's more yo-yo than I'm happy with but the codes are gone and everything else runs normally for the time being. I'll probably need to do a BPV to fix the yo-yo but it's not a time critical situation right now.

I had a boost gauge in my old '02 MCS (soon to be ported over to my current '06 MCS). The tech that installed it used a small fuel vacuum line for boost pressure. You can see it here (part #6): http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...77&hg=13&fg=15
