After Spraying Washer Fluid - No wipe
After Spraying Washer Fluid - No wipe
I have a 2009 Clubman with 2500 miles and I just noticed when I spray the washer fluid with the wipers off, the wipers do not do their 3-4 wipes to clean the window. They never start and the fluid just sits there. I have to manually turn on the wipers to clean the window. Not a big deal, but annoying, especially since there are only 2500 babied miles on my Justa Clubman. It also does it on the back washers. Anyone know if this is an option setting somewhere?
I haven't really been paying attention, but I *think* I have to do a slightly longish spray to get the wipers to activate. If I do short sprays, the wipers do not activate.
Now, obviously, "longish" and "short" are quite subjective. And I'm far too lazy to take a stopwatch to get real meaurements. But "longish" does mean a good spray that puts more water than you think you need on the windscreen. (More water than you need unless you have a dirty windscreen with lots of dried dirt all over it.)
In any case, try doing a longer spray and see if that helps. If not, then maybe it is a servicable item.

Thanks for the idea, but I tried all kinds of ways to invoke the auto wipe. I have already made an appointment with the dealer to check it out, but I was wondering if I missed something. I know it used to work
