clutch problem

so my clutch is starting to slip on my 04 cooper s (usually when gettin on it around 4kRPMS) My buddy is gonna do the labor. My car is lightly modded (super charge pulley swap, intake, and rear sway bars) What brand do you guys recommend? I have heard you have to replace the flywheel as well. I also heard aftermarket flywheels cause problems and go out really fast. I was thinking about a stage 1 kit. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also, is there any other maintenance that should be done while the car is in pieces? haha

thanks!

Depending on your mileage probably think about engine/transmission mounts upgrading to powerflex. And maybe a short shift kit while everythings apart anyway. Regarding clutches, seems like everyone here has had good luck with Clutch Masters products. OS Giken is relatively new so not a lot of feedback yet on them.

valeo is said to be good for stock or there about . i would look at the fly wheel before dropping money on one . if no heat marks or scoring ; i would scuff it and run it . if you scored it then yup new one . just deglaze it . spec is said to be not good . it's tough but try to keep the dsc on to save on tires and clutches .

I know valeo sells just a clutch kit as well as a clutch + flywheel combo. I've never seen just the valeo flywheel on sale by itself. I know you cant resurface mini flywheels. I've always been told when the clutch starts slipping you should just replace both the clutch and flywheel. Any suggestions?
