Plugs - 15% Pulley/CAI

I currently have the Denso IK22 but have been hearing talk of the Brisk plug manufacturer. For street use which would be best for upper Mid-West ( Chicago ) weather? Thanks..and also gaps required for the same?

If you swap them yourself be very careful to tourqe the plugs down right...you might even want to use some locktight to keep them snug. A few people have had probems with plugs loosening, ang getting blown out....a very expensive problem.

Not sure I'd want to use loctite in the spark plug holes but checking the torque at oil changes is always a good idea. The heat of combustion would probably break down the loctite anyway.

+1 on checking the torque... I torqued mine to spec when I installed my brisk plugs and when I took my MINI in for a new head I was told the plugs were extremely loose, barely even finger tight.

Torque the plugs down, but do not put loctite on the plugs. If you do you may end up being sorry you did.

If you are worried about the plugs staying in there, check the torque at every oil change. I do on my MINI & have not found a loose one.
