Speedo Indicator lights

2008 MCS

I set cruise and the light is very faint. much more so than TPMS or Fog lights lights. (TPMS on because snows are on right now - FYI)

in the sun i can't even tell if it's on. is this normal or odd? i wonder if the blub fell out and is still lighting up but not in the right spot, something like that

I don't recall for sure, but it would make sense that it was dimmer than TPMS or fog lights. Cruise control is something you would drive with for extended periods. TPMS is an alert that wants your attention. So it should be brighter. I could see where the fog light indicator would be brighter because you don't want to leave them on when the fog is gone.

My cruise indicator is very dim too and it's a 2010. I had a loaner 2009 JCW last week and it was the same way. It's just the cruise indicator though. Must be normal.

Mine is dim as well. These are lit by LEDs on the circuit board so there is no bulb to fall out and no real way for it to be out of place unless all cars out out of place (that could be possible though).

Mine is just as bright as all the other lights. Weird.

yea i'm guessing it's normal based on these replies. however, another stupid "mini thing" there've been several times when i didn't know if the cruise function was on or not because it's so dim in daylight.
oh well...not a biggie
