So the tach has been vibrating/buzzing/resonating occasionally and is getting worse. It stops when I pinch it between my fingers, so I thought it was the plastic cover that was vibrating. Today I realized that I think it's all coming from the red plastic piece at the top that serves as the flashing light if you have an alarm?!?

Anyone else had this problem? I'm 150 miles from a dealer and would like to at least come up with a temporary fix (short of holding onto it all the time I drive!) until I can get up to the dealer.

 

Carefully put some super glue around the edges of the red lens...

 

or some other temp fix, but either you suck it up till your next visit, or you schedule an appointment.... With a new car under warranty I don't know if I'd go the superglue route...

Had this issue with mine. Seemed worse in colder weather. I am tall and noticed that if I telescoped the wheel just a air away from the dash, it eliminated most of the noise. Dealer fixed it at next service under warranty. That's over 6 months ago, and vibration has not come back.
