Door lock actuator part# help

Looks like my wifes Mini has lost the driver side actuator. Anybody have the part # handy? I usually use Real OEM BMW but cant seem to find the part in any of the diagrams. Thanks!

The part numbers according to realoem for the door lock/actuator assembly on the 1st gen cars...

Do you mean being able to unlock the door remotely? Because my driver side lock won't open unless I use the key.

The passenger side locks and unlocks by the remote but on the drivers side she needs the key. Thanks Partsman!

Check out this thread for pics/insrtuctions https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-problems.html

The trickest part is getting the actuator unit in/out.. loosen the bolt under the door that holds the window rail and pull away from the door skin.. it just fits through, but be careful not to damage the skin.

definately a fun DIY and pretty straight forward.

good luck!

phil.

Nope, you can get the part from Pelican Parts - somewhere around $20-$40 cheaper than the dealer.

Cheers

I always use Classic Auto Campus.
Mention North American Motoring and get in-stock items at 20% over cost and special order items at 20-30% below retail.
