Trying to clear codes on ECU using scangauge II
Trying to clear codes on ECU using scangauge II
Whats up everybody!
Well my check engine light came on in my car. It was a missfire code for #4 cylinder. I fixed the problem but the check engine light isnt turning off.
I try to clear the code and it just doesnt clear. It says code cleared.. then the light stays on, and when I check again it reads the same code.
Does this mean I'm doing it wrong.. of i still hav a missfire... but the car sounds and runs fine now...
weird
thanks!

Mine can be a little hinky sometimes. Typically it will NOT let me clear a code while the car is running (even though it may tell you that it cleared it).
Scan for the code when the key is in the "run" position but the engine isn't running. Then clear it. Then turn off the car, then turn back on and restart - CEL should go out.
