Well my car was fine on Friday, but then I backed it out of the garage today and it's a weird noise. The noise is coming from the passenger front wheel well area. Here is my best description of the sound:

It's like when you are parked on an epoxied floor and move your wheels left and right it sounds squeaky. It's like that only a deeper tone. Or if you take an inflated balloon and rub your hands on it there's that low, stretched rubber sound. Whenever I turn left OR right I hear this sound. Not sure if it's audible from outside...I wasn't around anyone today. Nothing is blocking the wheel well....is it something with the suspension?

 

It is probably an alignment issue. Might be bushings, but I doubt it. I had a similar issue where my tires would sqeal at low speed. New tires and an alignment took care of it.

 

It was an upper strut mount that was cracked all the way around. I have 31,000 miles on my car (and lowered) but never abused. They said this would not be covered under warranty because it's considered "wear and tear." They just replaced my front brakes and pads a month ago. How is this any different.

VERY confused, and $420 now on the credit card.

 

I'd complain about it to BMW North America
