umm. what the #$#$ is wrong with my front suspension?

the crack on the piece holding the bottom of the spring, and the rubber piece hanging out. what the f*#*, that cant be normal.

Not sure about the "crack" hard to tell from the pics. Left pic looks funny, are these from the same side of the car?
I just looked at mine and it looks like the pic on the right.
Perhaps others can help with your "Abbey Normal" condition.

looks like a broken spring perch on the strut . time for a set of struts .

looks normal to me just dirty.the second pic shows the bottom end of the spring were it fits into the molded rubber boot.

Stock strut removed from an 04.
Normal.

Oh wow, that missing part on the bottom looked like it was messed up. I guess its fine. But what was the other guy saying about the spring perch.

That is the insulator between the spring and spring perch. One big rubber piece that keeps the spring from having metal to metal contact with the strut.
