Lots of minor problems

So I recently bought an 05 R50 and I love it. Best car Ive ever owned. But it has a few minor issues that trouble me slightly.

1. The windows and sunroff seem to open a little bit on their own when the car is turned off. The only time that was a real problem was one day last week when I went out in the morning and found my windows about 4 inches down and my sunroof fully tilted forward.

2. The drivers door doesnt open from the inside (it does if you pull the handle hard and quick. Ive pretty much mastered the technique to opening it on the first pull) Doesnt bother me too much but the car thinks theres a door open so the light is always on.

3. The front bumper is lower on the passenger side than the drivers side. It looks like its not attached right but every thing seems to be on fine and bolted on securely. The tow hook opening lines up perfectly and you cant lift it into place like if it was hanging.

Also the dealer didnt give me the owners manual and I have no idea what the button with (what looks like) a picture of a speedometer (next to the air vents) or the button next to the e-brake (that has an ! on it) actually do.

Any help is appreciated

Also, I forgot to mention, my speedometer is very optomisitic. Im not sure how off it actually is, but when Im stopped it reads between 5-10 mph. It feels more incorrect at higher speeds tho. Ive been at 90 on the highway and it really doesnt feel like it. Maybe I just have a lead foot.

Welcome to NAM.
The windows, sunroof opening can be from holding down the unlock button on the key. I never had it happen by accident but I suppose its possible. Hopefully its not a computer (BCM) issue.
Have you tried to pull the handle twice? Once to unlock and then the next to open. You can unlock by the console switch to see if that helps.
The button with the speedo looking graphic is guage illumination intensity. Each press changes the brightness until it cycles back around.
The ! button, I believe is to reset the TPM system (tire pressure monitor).
Hope this helps.

^That helps alot thanks

I was told by the dealer that there is a problem with the mechanicals in my door, thats why the "door open" light stays on. Im just gonna take it to a BMW dealer and talk to them (I bought it used from a mazda dealer and they have no idea what to do)

I had no idea about opening the windows w/ the clicker. Im sure thats what it was. I just went outside and sure enough, it works lol.

The owner's manual can be found online at MINIUSA in the Owner's Lounge. Just enter your car's VIN to gain access.

The problem with your door sounds like a stretched bowden cable. The handle inside the car is attached to the latch by a steal cable and that can stretch and create the problem you are having.

It's part number 10 in that diagram.

My MA told me that BMW speedometers allow for a 10% variation. Mine is 2-3 mph fast at least up to 45 mph. Not sure about higher speeds since I haven't been tagged by the po-po yet.
