Fuel pump/filter/sensor/indicator?
Fuel pump/filter/sensor/indicator?
Driving in to work I filled up, topped off and when I pulled away from the station the indicator read 1/2. I pulled over, shut it off, back on and it read Full. I drove on in to work. Later that day when I drove home I noticed the indicator read Empty. On/off cycling has no effect.
I have an appointment for service - just wondering what this one is going to run me...

These do have floats, but it's usually the sending unit that goes bad, it will need to be replaced. The dealer will know which one it is as soon as they scan the vehicle.
If it's the pump, it'll run you at least $800 and the sending unit I believe is about $150 plus labor, so your looking at about an additional 3 hours of labor on top of the parts.
