i just got my car back from the repair shop everything seems to be fine, however after work i come across with a new problem, my driver door wont open, tried my remote key out side the lock wont come up, but the door on the passenger side opens, went inside tried the switch inside still wont open, tried my keys outside manualy and still wont open. went back inside and open it on the handle lock still wont open. seems to be it get stuck. when i pull the handle inside i do see the lock pup a bit and comes back so try to tried to pull the lock up and it wont stay up. im stuck!!.. anyways somone can help me? anyways to manual open the darn door..

 

Sounds like you may have a bad door lock actuator, is this related at all to the repairs they have performed? As far as I know, there aren't any manual ways to open the door without removing the door panel which is hard with the door closed.

 

The only thing I was able to do was have the car running to manually open the door. I then got the actuator fixed.

The belt molding on the outside of the door just pulls up, exposing a gap between the door and the glass that is big enough to get a long screwdriver or similar tool in there to trip the lock/latch assembly to open the door.
However, if the lock is "dead" this procedure may not work. If that's the case, I will try to get you more info tomorrow.

 

i dont think , its related to what been repaired, might be also. the recent repair that i have is the alternator, i dont think it has something to do with it. nonetheless it electronic part. did try to drive around hoping it gona fix it self or hoping it just got stuck, but no luck.

i;ll try what partsman advice to see if i can trip the latch..and update you guys, but if any sugggestion plz feel free to let know..

okya tried to peel the seal in the window and it wont budge too , i tried it with the windows down, and, im afried that i might spoil the seal and not able to pul it back, is their other way to unlock the door? and i use a lock smitch tool? how do i use it? anyone know how to use a lock smith tool?

 

Don't worry that is only a wind seal, it won't let water leak into the car, you have to pull up on it, preferably on the rear portion. Use a wide screwdriver, careful not to scratch the paint or glass, or even better if you have a set of plastic prying tools.

The lock smith tool won't work, the doors will double lock if it's not getting the correct signal from the body computer, this means you can't open from the inside or outside, or by pulling the bowden cables.

It's not an easy procedure, I've only had to deal with it twice, one was a convertible and I had to remove the seat and pull the door panel off with the door closed.

 

tried it , took out the piece from the door able to see inside, when i tried the outside door handle i do see the lever that and wire that pull down, samething with the inside door, it put it down, took a screw driver ( flat head) and put the lever down and the door still wont open, played around and i managled to pry the door panel out half way now i can reach the lock, tried to yank it and still wont open, try to reach and i cant reach it due to the pannel is not removed complty. planning to removed the seat but scared that if i removed it the seatbelt tensoner will be screwd? talk to a mechanic and they said they have to do the same and rip off the door panel, and reach in to the mechanincal piece and drill it, to have it removed, due to the actuator seems to be ceased?... is that true? what did you do when you removed the door panel? and how did you get the door released the lock?
