Has anyone installed the power steering fan cover from moss? Reason Im asking is because I am wondering if I have to remove the power steering fan to do the install, or can I just do it from under the car?

I was under my car yesterday checking things out and from the picture you attached I think it would be easy to install from under the car. Hardest part would be putting the car on jack stands and crawling underneath.

BOSS, can you please explain. Is the clip on the fan or the shroud itself?

The clip is on the electrical connector you must unplug to remove the fan.The instructions with the shroud will show you the connector.Really easy just dont rush when unplugging the connector.

I'd recommend getting the Rhino ramp, available at Kragen's or Walmart. $19.95 at Kragen's. The ramp can support up to 12,000 lbs weight. I paid a little more at Walmart, but then, the price may have come down a bit.

I'm curious as to why the electrical connector has to be unplugged in ordere to install the new shroud. I thought the shroud just bolted to the housing with two bolts. Is there a technique to unplug the electrical connector? Pull slowly straight out or wiggle and pull out? TIA.

I installed mine in about 5 min.
Just put the car on ramps, Undo 2 bolts, unplug the fan, put the cover on the fan, plug it back in, replace the bolts. All done under the car.

Once the shield is slid onto the fan, how hard is it to "bend the shield at the perforations to align the two mounting holes"?
