Clutch pedal

Anyone noticed on their R53 any squeaking or clicking associated with the clutch peadal.
Also mine hits the floor. so much so that its made an impression on the carpet and its also cut thru the rubber on the firewall.
Is this usual or is this theres something wrong with my pedal ***. or could this be associated with my clutch noise. (tapping when in neutral.)
Could this be normal or otherwise?

"squeaking or clicking" is definitely not normal for clutch operation. My first clutch replacement was after a "squeak" while depressing and the second one was after a "click" noise while releasing (both covered under warranty). The third one is working as it should after 30Kmiles.

It's normal for most clutches to squeak when the keys are out of the ignition. If yours does, that's normal.

Squeeking or clicking while driving is not good, and if you hear a noise when you take off letting off the clutch like a person blowing over a bottle then your clutch is most likely going. I had to have mine replaced at 30,000 i guess the person before me drove it real hard and didnt know stick? But now its working great!

The squeak is not "normal" but not necessarily that bad. It could be a master or slave cylinder going bad, or it could be the release bearing rubbing. Only worry if it gets worse or if you can "feel" the squeak like something is rubbing. Or if the engagement point starts moving close to the floor.

I don't know if the keys in the ignition would effect anything since everything is hydrolic. You will hear it more with the car off because there is no engine noise.

I always have had the click when the pedal comes all the way out. Even after a clutch replacement.

Have you checked the fluid level in your master cylinder? The hydraulic clutch should not allow the pedal to go down that far if there is enough fluid in the system (and the clutch itself is not worn down)

Ill check my brakes.... and the click at full engagement i beleve is normal its part of the set has something to do with the hinge on the peadal assembly.
but i dont understand why its going that far. the car is about a 58k mile car so that could be part of it.
I want a nice aftermarket one with aligher flywheel if you all think that the clutch is going...

The click is indeed normal. It is either a result of the hinges or it is the ignition cutoff so you cant start without the pedal in.

Cant say I know why it is going so far, like others have said check the fluid levels.

The bottle noise is a chattering clutch and does indicate irregular wear. However, mine has been doing that for the last 27,000 miles and is still going strong after 55,000. I got used to the noise. It's worse when the clutch is cold.
