Diagnosis: wheel bearing?

My 05 MCS has developed a humming/howling noise, which seems to be coming from the front right. It increases with speed and is more audible when I make a left turn. It certainly sounds like a wheel bearing problem (just like many others have experienced), but is there a way to be sure?

I took my car in to the dealer yesterday for some warranty work and told them to check out the noise. The tech test drove it and physically checked out the suspension and bearing...you guessed it, it all checked out OK There's also no play when they tried to shake the front right wheel. They also said that because there are so many other noises going on at the same time (intake and exhaust) it's difficult to diagnose.

Any thoughts?
