Window Stutter
Window Stutter
Goth my windows started to stutter when closing today...
also first time temps over 90F if that makes any difference
Is there anything i can do to prevent failure?
(yeah, besides wash it...)

This might not be encouraging but I've had both of my window motors replaced on my O3 S. Happened in the 25k mile range.
Well it is definitely related to the temps.
When it was 90 to 100 F here, it happened.
When it cooled off a night, it went away
Temps have been in the 70s now, and no stutter
So I guess i"ll just wait and see what the summer brings...

Can you elaborate on how you lubed up the mechanism? What did you use? Which mechanism did you lube up? Thanks.
Mine was stuttering in hot temps too, I had it "fixed" under warranty. On the invoice it stated they greased/lubed the window parts. No issues since, sorry for the lack of detail, I'm exactly sure what they did

I think heat can be playing a role but I doubt it's the principle cause.
I'm going to have to take off the door panel, since my driver's side lock
doesn't open from the inside, I have to roll the window down and reach out to unlock from the outside....Window failure on this side would really leave me up
a creek...
And its been this way for ?5000 miles?
I'm hoping when I get in there that the cable has just come loose, as many have reported...
Can anybody describe how to properly lube the window track while I'm there?
I would probably just put too much lithium grease in the wrong places,
and eventually it would fail due to my "maintenance"...
