My PS pump adventure:
My PS pump adventure:
I have a 2002 MCS, with 30k mi, and the pump went haywire while the wife was backing up to the driveway.
After many wks of delay and slacking, bought a new pump for 450, new O ring for the high pressure line, clamp and another 42 dollars for 1 L of PS fluid from the dealer.
Started to take the ps pump off from the car with the many posted procedures from NAMC.
It was actually hard not getting PS fluid everywhere once the High pressure line was removed, and the low pressure line was a struggle as well as it was very hard getting it off the pump, after liked 20 mins of messing around, it just came out, and fluid spilled everywhere....
After cleaning it all up, it was tough manuevering the pump to come out, as the main power cord was glued to the housing , it seems, and sure enough, once it comes off, it has rusted, and left the blade inside housing.

Disconnect the battery, then dig out the blade with a sharp instrument?
