P1106 and P0107
anyone know what these codes could really indicate what parts to replace and what not...
also can I damage the engine or anything by running with these codes on
I have reset the codes several times to the same problem
one is MAP one is o2 so I am guessing something with the header or Cat
I am running stock header and exhaust in a 2003 MINI Cooper non-s

The MAP sensor error is the one that needs to be addressed first. More than likely the O2 code is due to the mixture being out of tolerance because of the bad MAP sensor. In my experience, O2 codes are an indication of other problems rather than a primary failure.
MAP is Manifold Absolute Pressure. MAP sensor failures are pretty common on the other makes of cars I have dealt with. YMMV

Well I am going to try and have the MAP replaced next week some time as they have to order the part from MINI directly... Is driving with a faulty MAP sensor going to do damage to my car? I commute 75 miles a day M - F
