p1152 ECU code
p1152 ECU code
I keep getting a p1152 CEL code. Symptoms would be no-boost
. I looked it up as
Would anyone happen to know what this means?

O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 2 Sensor 1) Would anyone happen to know what this means?
This means you need to drop off your Mini at the dealership for warranty repairs.
The problem could be a bad oxygen sensor, or with a failed fuel-related component (eg, fuel injector or fuel pressure regulator) that is causing the air:fuel ratio to be overly rich.
The lack of boost could be the computer going into a "limp home" mode, whereby it will not allow high engine output until the error code is fixed, so as to prevent damage to the engine and/or catalytic converter.

My Bad...
Whoops. Upon re-reading this, I just now noticed your sig line regarding all the Alta hardware and ECU. I don't believe the BMW dealership will do this repair under warranty!
Who did the install of these components? If it was installed by a professional shop, they may have some kind of warranty period. The obvious checks would be for intake leaks.
Alta has a tech hotline that may be of assistance (503) 693-1702.
How is the driveability during mild acceleration and steady-state driving? Any sputtering or hesitation?

Thanks, there is no sputtering or hesitation just a CEL without boost, I took the ECU out replaced the alta tubes with the OEM and still had the same CEL after resetted everything. I do notice though a very bad mpg though. I dont think BMW would really turn down the warranty because I dont see how it can relate to a bad 02 sensor. Watcha think? I dont know if its a boost leak but the turbo works for like a few seconds/revs and then when i let it idle is where it turns off or something where you dont hear the BOV anymore.

probably a bad O2 sensor or the voltage to the heater wire is not sufficient. These are wide band o2 sensors.
should not be a issue if you have your back to oem just bring it to the dealer. Let us know what happens.

They can decline to cover the repairs under warranty if they feel the root cause was due to aftermarket components. A factory warranty covers defects in material or workmanship for factory or dealer parts and labor. Likewise, if they find out about that aftermarket ECU, they could really get nasty, as you're no longer operating with the factory algorithms for engine operation and Engine Protection Strategy.
Combining the trouble code with the poor mileage and acceptable driveability, it sounds like you're running rich. Be advised: too much fuel can wreak havoc with your cat converter, so you don't want to let this issue go on for to long.
Three possible options:
1) Give Alta's tech hotline a ring. Combining catalyic converters with oxygen sensors and computer-controlled turbos and OBD-II makes for a very complex cocktail. Best to get some input from the guru's who design and develop these parts.
2) Reinstall all the factory components and take it to the dealership.
