Perhaps disconnect the battery for like 10 seconds and reconnect to see if the problem is still there? Could also be an issue with your key that's causing this... do your doors unlock as well or just the windows roll down?

It sounds to me like your key is sending a continuous signal to the car. Try replacing the batteries or try a new key.

Do you wear tight slacks for to impress the American foxes with your bulges? This can be problem for Mini key getting squeezed inside.

You might have a short someplace --- maybe similar to my problem where the boot opens itself the day after a rain or wash.
Too bad that water is such a good conductor of electricity...

Maybe there is a language barrier problem going on here. MINIs prefer when you talk to them in the Queen’s English, not the broken kind.

Dude, that's harsh.
I'm married to a Brazilian immigrant; people do their best, you know.

Heck my wife has started call ours Herbie the mini as in it has a mind of its own. The window thing happened to my wife but they only went halfway down. It has only happened once and is in the shop now getting checked out. They aren't pulling any codes so they are trying to see if they can do the same thing some how. I did it once but I had the key in my hand and it was pressing on the wheel and I rolled the windows down and opened the sunroof. My feeling is that my wife hit the button and didn't realize it until she came back out but I could be wrong.

$.02........... does anyone know if you hold the unlock on your key fob the windows and sunroof will open. I found this out one night at the local pub. I guess i was sitting on my key and the unlock button. I came out side and thought someone had broken in my ride. But then i saw it was both windows. It was crazy and it freaked me out but i stopped putting my keys in my back pocket.

Yes. If you hold down the unlock button the windows will go down and the sunroof will open. It definitely helps out on hots days.

Wow now. Thats uncalled for. Not everyone has had the privilage of being a English linguist. On this forum we are all friends, no matter what your nationatily, education or background is. If you can put your thoughts into words we will understand them. We are all Mini owners

I wish we had a ROTFLMAO smilie, like a couple of my other clubs have! And I wish we still had Saturday Night Live. The old one, that is. With Steve and Gilda and John and...

Have them check your door actuator I ask my SA and she informed me this has happened a few times and replacing it seems to fix the issue. Also listen when you park the car if the door locks and unlocks by itself that also indicates a bad actuator. Good Luck

I just took delivery of my MCS a week ago and i can get the windows to come down by holding the unlock button, but not the sunroof. Does it take an abnormal amount of time after the windows come down or at the same time as windows?
Thanks.

It's been a while since I last used this feature, but I recall both actions taking place pretty much at the same time, or at least shortly after the windows go down. Have you asked your SA or MA? It might also have something in the manua about itl. You HAVE read the manual, haven't you?
