I have just got over the break-in period with my MCS.
I would like to ask some questions related MCS engine with supercharger.

1) MCS's engine note includes high note which comes from the supercharger unit. Even in the idling rpm like 800, the supercharger note is very high.
Is this normal or the same as what you experience or feel?

2) What do you think about MCS engine unit response?
It revs up quickly (which I love a lot !), but it is dull or slow when its rev goes down.
How do you feel about it?
Is this somthing related to supercharger or somewhat the program related?

Probably all what I post here would be normal, but I really appreciate your comment !

For your 1st question, the high noise you hear at idle isn't the SC. It's the power steering motor. It seems really loud in my MCS too, but I've had no problems.
As for the slowness in dropping revs after taking your foot off the accelerator, apparently it's something to do with the computer not wanting to dump a lot of unburned fuel into the exhaust. That's what I remember reading on here a few months ago and I make no claims as to its accuracy.

Hmmm, thanks a lot, Agro.
I'm imagining things, but after I got over break-in, the Super Charger note over 3000 rev seems changed....
Well, today I drove 200 miles and I enjoyed motoring especially SC power over 4000 rpm. it's really exciting on curvy back roads, isn't it?
I love the note!

Thanks again!

Technically the high note is not the pump, but the electric motor that drive the PS pump.
As for the 2nd question, I like the way the engine holds its revs, it make silky shifts a breeze.

Electric motor for PS pump...a-ha.
Thanks a lot.

What about the vibration?
I've just got over the break-in period and try to rev the engine.
When it revs over 4000, I feel vibration. Of course ot's not big vibration, but at the same time, sympathy starts in some interior parts. I don't find which portion has the sympathy, but it looks like it's coming from some plastic parts.
Anybody has any experience or information ?

what vibration?!
if it's anything beyond a tingle in the pedals or an interior piece resonance, then it's something to concern yourself with further. Please provide more detail on exactly what you are hearing/feeling and its' amplitude.
Sympathy: I'm guessing you're referring to a resonance?

Yes the car will vibrate, just like ALL cars. Even a Bentley must abide by the laws of physics and have resonances.

I agree with Ryephile, the car vibrates like any other, but should be concerned about any major vibrations. I do not notice any vibrations in mine more-so than any other car I've owned (and certainly much less vibration than my '61 Corvair or Nissan pickup). Go to the dealer and drive a demo to see if it has the same vibration your talking about, if not I'd talk to the service dept.

Well, probably I'm talking about normal vibration. Yet, an interior piece resonance starts over 4000 rpm. I need to find out which piece...
I had a Toyota V-8 Tundra before my MCS.

Toyota V-8 4.7L twin-cam was silky smooth, but it was too big to enjoy motoring.(Of course, the transmission was not manual...)

I think it's a good idea to see what kind of vibration other MCS has.
(Oops, my dealer is 70 miles away, though.
