Antenna broken off

While my car was parked in a shopping center this morning, some one grabed my stubby antenna and broke it off. I have a hole the size of a quarter in the housing but nothing left to connect to. Can the housing be replaced with out a lot of problems or if repaired by a dealer what would be the approx cost be?? The schools are closed today for fall break and there are kids wandering all over the place.Whai a PITA and a dealer 125 miles away.

I can't imagine it would be very hard to replace (search for a DIY), and the part should not be expensive at all. Check the Marketplace; I know I sold my old one awhile ago for like $25.

I know at least one NAM member recently replaced theirs and reported it to be a very simple pieceto fix. I imagine the hit on the $ from the dealer is the worst part
