Replace the bolts, 20Nm, then 90*. This is for a stock connecting rod.

After you tighten the bolts to 20nm, turn another 90 degrees with a torque angle gauge

stage 1 - 15 ft. lbs.
stage 2 - 90 degrees

you can use white out to mark the bolt to the cap after stage 1 then go the 90 .

20 is the factory spec for new factory bolts.

So is it Okey to go for 40NM ?
instead of 20 NM + 90 degrees ?

I've changed rod bearings and my engine builder guy said that 40 NM was okey.

do i have to worry about that ?

my engine is N18 turbo.

You are in the wrong thread. This is for the W11 engine, not the N18 engine.

N18 engine : https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/r...rings/DJ8V4Xwe
