Reverse Light Wont Work

I though the problem was just a bulb, but after replacing it, the problem still lingered.

I checked the fuses, and Im not sure if theres one just for the reverse light. Every other light works fine. Any suggestions?

Its nice to be able to see when backing up... Kinda used to it...

the fuse for the reverse light is F13 in the interior fuse box.
if its not the fuse then it could be either the reverse switch if you have a manual or the cvt switch if you have a cvt.
check the fuse, if its ok then check to see if it is getting powered, if it is getting power then its pretty possible its the switch.

It's probably the switch. I had mine replaced. It's one of the few old school, mechanical things on the car, and it wears out.

Fuse is OK. I swapped it just to play it safe, and still wont work. How much for a new switch and can I do it or do the dealer have to?

I forget what the cost was for the part, but it was pretty cheap. It is something in theory that you could do yourself. But, without a lift to put the car on, it's probably better to let the dealership do it. It shouldn't cost much at all, because it's a pretty easy job, and they've probably done it a bunch of times so they know what they're doing.

Yup, in that other thread I posted after I got the work done... $40 parts & labor. At that price, might as well just have the dealership do it.

Baron Mini in Kansas City wanted 160 bucks.... they also said its only a $20 part...

So maybe I'll take it to a local garage or just do it myself.
