What option adds side mirror tilt in reverse?

I drove my husband's F55 yesterday and noticed the side mirror tilted down when I put it in reverse. Is this part of a package or is it standard now? I remember a few years back people complaining that this wasn't a standard feature on the MINI but had been on BMWs for years.

I believe it requires the power folding side mirrors, which adds some sort of memory module; I've tried coding it in e-sys on my car without power-mirrors, to no avail). From what i remember, there's a line item in the vin-decoder you can look for that indicates your version has it.

Unfortunately for me, the folding side mirrors weren't an option in Canada when I ordered..

If you put the switch for the mirrors in the driver side position the pass mirror will tilt in reverse. If you put it in the pass side it won't do it.

You must get power folding mirrors or Cold Weather Package for this to happen. My car was ordered fully loaded (I took a car out of stock, not ordered), but only with heated seats, not CWP, and my mirrors do not tilt in reverse at all. I believe it can be coded to tilt, though.

Sadly, it cannot

If you don't have powerfold mirrors, you will not get the curb monitor feature.
