Magnecor wires before or after 1200 milesw
I posted the following under the "Breaking In" topic but it's more appropriate here, so I am re-posting..
I am now at 1327 miles, and I HAVE noticed that performance has improved gradually over the past 75 miles (I can only assume that what I heard about the post-break-in computer re-adjust is true).

I haven't put on the Magnecor wires yet that I mentioned in a previous post.. My original plan was to wait until I passed 1250 miles, and then put them on once the computer "re-adjusted" the engine settings...
So now I am glad I waited, on the off-chance that installing the magnecor wires during the break-in might reduce the positive impact of the post-break-in computer re-adjust.
At this point, I have decided to wait until next week to put them on. After I install them, I will post my comments re: perceived performance improvement.

I installed my Magnecor wires about a month after I passed the 1200 mile point, so I can't provide any insight as to how much of a difference it would make, although I'm sure the improvement in performance would be the same. It amazes me though how much just a new set of wires helps... amazing! I'm sure a set of Bosch+4's would also improve performance, but the stock plugs even work better!
I highly recommend everyone get a set of Magnecor wires. I have nothing to compare them to other than the stock wires, but they are certainly cheaper than Nology's wires, and you don't have to worry about grounding them to the chassis...

>>I was planning on installing Magnecor wires when I get my new Cooper. Does it make a difference if I do that before the 1200 mile break in period or should I wait?
