Who Hasn't Had Trouble With Their MINI?
I hope I am not jinxing myself here but I have had no problems whatsoever.
Except:
Rock chips from those big trucks on the highway.
Smudges from peoples hands and noses on my glass and roof.
Every Ford Focus driver wanting to race me and not being able to because I haven't hit 1200 miles yet.

i also have not had a problem and have also been able to race (and blow the doors off) every ford focus. my driving usually involves dipping into the redline on occsaion and taking full advantage of the dsc correcting any faults in my driving and am glad to report no trouble what so ever!
happy motoring all!

5983 miles of flawless performance on my "S". Biggest problem I've encountered is keeping the wheels clean. MB

So far so good, except all those fingerprints I find on the car.
Also since it has been so darn hot, my mpg is only around 30 since I the a/c has been on all the time. You may think that 30 is still good, but my 93 Integra got 36 on the freeway, so I feel I am a little behind.
Also I am making these comments, because if I said all was well, something major might happen - Murphy's Law!!!!!! (my last name)

I wasn't going to say anything,,,,It's always better than feeling you're a big behind.

I've got 7750 miles of trouble free fun from my MINI. It's part of the transmission thing recall, but hasn't developed any problems.
Has anyone noticed the probvlem many passengers experience with uncontrollable screaming when a MINI driver goes through a turn or approaches a stop in the normal MINI manner? I hope this doesn't just happen to me.

My car was in the group that had the "potential" shift linkage problem. got it fixed before anything went wrong, so really have had no problem. Have 2300 trouble free miles. For a first year car/project, the car has exceeded every expectation I had. the only things I've heard of from other people have been the shift linkage issue and some very early cars had leaks in the windshield and some seat adjustment problems. Anywho, as for me, nothing negative to report except that the front grille did become loose. It does pop in and out sometimes. Oh well.
two days after my Cooper S arrived, it broke down a few hundred yards from my home. The reason? The battery lead to the engine bay fusebox detached for some reason. the plastic fusebox casing had partially melted, presumably due to arcing.
I've now got over 3500 Ks on the clock, and the car has loosened up considerably & fuel consumption is much better. I did a 1500K round trip last weekend and was far less tired than a similar distance in other cars despite having to concentrate more due to the sharper steering.
the driving experience is wonderful..........everyone should have one!!

No trouble here either, with 3500 gentle miles. Getting 32-33MPG and lots of fun.
Very excited (!) to get and fill in a JD Power survey - but had to leave great sections of it blank (all the what went wrong stuff).

Its been less than 2 weeks since I got my MCS, 475 miles so far and no problems other than the cold start thing twice (always starts on the second try). I just wish I had more time to drive it!

OK
here is the way to make the brake dust a little less bad
Take off your wheels and spray pam on them!
i'm sure your saying what is the guy talking about!
well after you do this the dust will wash off very easy!
as for repairs!
1 Seat latch "replaced n/c"
2 drivers window trim lifting up "repalced n/c"
3 3rd tail light cracking on the inside and starting to go thru "replaced n/c"
4 rear sun roof bezal not right? moves and looks a little warped will be replaced n/c
