supercharger blew up!!!! 170,000miles

yep its true, the supercharger fianlly died on me the other day, its been going bad for the past 10,000 miles by making a racking noise now it sounds like marbles in their, so im not driving the car till i fix it since i want to keep the metal im prolly injesting to a minimum

i had the 15percent pully installed back at 50 thousand so its put up with over 100 thou on the pully not bad at all

other wise the car has been great and no other problems im trying to hit 200,000
by next year and i wondering if i can pull it off still origanal clutch as well

also if anyone has or knows of someone selling a supercharger let me know since i seem to be on the market as it were!

170,000 thats great!! At just over 148,000 I already have a replacement supercharger in my garage ready to go on. I have about 115,000 with a 15% pulley too.

I found a new 05 supercharger on ebay for right around $500.00.

Glad to hear they can go that far!

Nik

I will be one VERY happy gal if my MINI/SuperCharger holds up for 160K more miles. Congrats on your milestone. Good luck with finding a replacement S/C.

Sorry to hear that Christian, but you've made out pretty well so far. I've been following how yours holds up as I've put 80K miles on my '05 in 31 months!

considering that the s-charger was suposed to last 100 k , I think you've done pretty well. Remember that the 15% adds 15% to the mileage of the supercharger's lifespan.
