Need to find touch up paint

I've already put a nick into the new Astro blk and ask the MA about touch up paint and he say's it's not epa approved yet? Doesn't know when it will be available either.

Does anybody know where to find some of this stuff. I figure this group will likely know a bit more if it is available. The car seems to nick pretty easily.

Thanks for any help.

Search touch up paint. Been covered in several threads which have vendor links. Unfortunately, my color isn't available. And do you know why it isn't EPA approved? Because the bottle doesn't say "Do not consume internally" on it. Seriously. Like BMW didn't know about that????????

This is too funny...It is o.k to bring in poison dog food from China, but not touch up paint. Gotta love the morons in charge in our Federal Government.

You may want to try AutoVisuals
http://www.autovisuals.com/

I got my Dark Silver touch up pen from them. Funny thing is that there is no "MINI" in the model drop down box on their site...so I picked "BMW", then for model I typed in "Mini Cooper". I got an e-mail from them explaining that Mini's were made by BMC (British Motor Corporation), and not by BMW. I thought that this was pretty funny, as they are a sponsor on this board. I nicely wrote back that Mini's were last made by British Leyland, and the current MINI was in fact made by BMW.

There was a long thread somewhere about problems getting the paint in CA specifically, because of evironmental wackiness. But I think we're still in a holding pattern getting OEM paint anyhooo.

Get it here:

Going to the Sherwin-Williams auto paint web site I see the BMW/MINI color code for 2007 Astro Back is A25
{go to http://www.sherwin-automotive.com/ click formula express, then advanced search, enter the make model and year and get a complete table of paint codes - including the roof and wheel paints}

Then going to a trusted supplier with this code they can make the color in various forms: paint pens, bottles, rattle cans or ready to spray bulk. I've used these folks multiple times with good results in quality of color match and application satisfaction.

http://www.automotivetouchup.com/auto_paint.asp

So unless there is a problem with their shipping to CA ...... I usually order over the web and have it in 2 - 3 days.

No code for Lightning Blue. The code which is on my car, A65, comes up as Mitsubishi Silver. Grrrrrrrrrrr

Thanks for tips. I tried to search the thread for Touch Up Paint and came up with zero matches. Oh well, yes here in Ca. we can get the poison pet food, contaminated spinach and other items, but no touch up paint!

British Atlantic Ltd. now has touch up paint pens with the R56 colors for $15.95. I haven't used it; just passing the info along.
