NAV asking for DVD
NAV asking for DVD
Just picked up my new MCS and the dealer didn't have the NAV setup. Turns out they didn't have the software in the service center either but would ship it next day to me. I drove it home because I flew in to Portland, OR just for pickup, and drove it 180 miles home.
Next day the software turns up. I pop the DVD into the NAV, it churns for a few seconds, then asks for the Nav DVD again... !!!
The manual says it may not be the right DVD - can anyone confirm?? Here is the title of the software:
MINI ON-BOARD NAVIGATION SYSTEM
65 90 0 426 557
Regional digital road map for North America
I have a 2007 MCS, and am in the Seattle WA area. Dealer is looking into it as well...

If you've got a new R56 MINI (which I assume you do since you posted in the 2nd gen forum area and you say you have a 2007 "MCS"), then the nav DVD MUST say that it's a "DVD-CCC" as that's the type that is required by the new MOST system in the R56 MINI. The part number on my R56's DVD is:
65 90 0 415 624
Sounds to me like they gave you the DVD for the MKIV nav system in the older gen 1 cars (such as the 2007 "MCSC", etc.) by mistake.
