We were watching New Channel 5 tonight and saw our first EVER Mini TV ad in St. Louis and Mini TV ad period.

It was with the Bull Dog going around to sniff the tailpipe.

It was Very Cool!

Do we live under a rock or has there not been Mini TV ads in St. Louis before? This also could be because the city is going to be taken over with Minis in a few days. So they want to get Mini of St. Louis's name out there.

Just thought I'd share.

 

That ad is also on the 2004 MINI owners kit CD-ROM.

 

I downloaded that add, pluss the Canada add as well. Canada one is talking about how 'Roomy' the MINI is. A guy and girl pop up, re-buttoning thier shirts saying how surpized there was so much room. And then a 2nd girl pops up from the back say, 'Yeah' .

When I was in Denver I saw 2 adds with MINIs in them. One was for a local pizza place staring a running back from the Broncos (I can't remmber his name tho) and talking about how fast thier delivery was, or something. It was a red MC with this big add thing on its roof.

2nd add was about how to save on gas, and the things you can do. It was a drawing shadow art thing of a MINI. Kind of like our logo on the sticker. It was zipping around and stuff. But I liked it.

 

What is the link to these downloads? The Canadian add looks like a "must see".

Look at the lower right side under MINI Video and Commercials. I THINK its the 'Space' or the 'Fun' one.

 

Unfortunately those links don't work anymore. Just one of the USA and Canada links work, as well as the Japan links, but the others dont.

 

I've seen the 'beware the counterfeit Mini' commercials on TV here, but it was just 1 or 2 times, and last year I think.

We seem to be all over when you drive around now...I saw 3 of our brethren while driving out to lunch yesterday...granted there's a few within a few blocks of my work, but this was folks on the move. Given that popularity I'm sure the US marketing will be cranking up soon.

 

A MINI Cabrio commerical was shown on KSDK-News Channel 5 this morning. It was about not pushing the button . You'll have to see it to appreicate it (I won't spoil the ending)
