St. Louis MODs

I was just currious if any of you had done any MODs to your MINIs? And if so what ones, and what did your deal have to say about? Also which dealer did you get stuck with? Or better not to say what dealer, they could be watching....

I have not done any mods, but I also was wondering if that would void the warranty?!!!!!

Well, one of the sales men said I was damned if I did anything. The other one said it was ok as long as the MOD didn't cause whatever bad thing happened (if any) to my MINI.

There are many with mods. (Mine is stock, though; except for the stripes.) They may want to keep quiet on line, so ask them at your party

I guess I will have to. But only a small amount of People have RSVPed. So no food for them that don't RSVP! My feeling is, if I can't put it in, I don't want it there. (Granted I COULD put in my new Radio, but I want it to work right. )

I had a boost guage and a CAI on my MINI last time she was in to STL MINI and they refused to work on her when I had a boost leak around the bypass valve. At first they tried to claim it was because of the mods and when reason failed on that one, they then claimed that they could not "find" the problem because of the mods. What really tore it for me is when the service manager stated "Well we have the best MINI techs in MO." Well that isn't hard when you have the ONLY certified MINI techs in MO! Luckily I live between STL and CHI and Bill Jacobs in Naperville was quite willing to work with me and get my MINI fixed and has ever since. Bill Jacobs even have Saturday hours!

I have a sad feeling I might be driving there as well. One of the sales guys I talked to when my sales guy was getting me some paper work talked to me like I was a retard. Man I was very mad at that guy. I almost walked off at that point.
