It's that time again! For the second year in a row, the St. Louis MINI Club will be sponsoring a tent at the 2005 St. Louis European Auto Show. Here are the details:

Sunday, June 5th, 2005
Plaza Frontenac (Lindbergh Blvd. and Clayton Rd.)
Setup: 10-11am
Show: 11-3pm
Awards: 3pm

Proceeds from the show will benefit the St. Louis Shriners Hospital for Children.
There are some exciting changes this year. Along with Best Of Show awards, there will be Best of Marque awards. If more than 10 cars of a marque are entered, a participant of that class will qualify to win a marque award.

C'mon! Show your MINI pride! Bring your MINI, lets get 10 cars and someone will be assured a chance to be selected as the Best of the MINI Marque!

The club will also hold our own courcours at the show. All club MINIs will be voted on by club members only.

Remember, this show is a "show-and-shine" event for charity, so just wash your car and show up!

I hope we get a lot of MINI's to make up a class. I sent my $$ in today.
Come on MINI people, they only allow 150 cars in this show, at least 10 of them should be MINIS.

With Brad B, that makes six. We're almost there, let's get four more entries! We'll be sure to bring it up at the April meeting as well. It would be great for us to swamp the car show with MINIs!

Any word on if they have filled the 150 slots? Bowser may be getting lowered before then, and he just picked up a new growl, so I may be in if it hasn't filled.

I just called the organizer (Rick Siefert) and he said they haven't gotten to 150 yet, but "getting close".

I'm sending in my form tomorrow!

(I just had some loose stitching in the passenger seat repaired under warranty and two dents/"dimples" repaired so I'm all ready!)

So far, the only club that has a better showing of sign ups besides us, is the Porsche Club.
