Mini on Mackinaw Island
#2
Mini on the Mack is scheduled for August 1st, from what I've heard. It's actually a drive across the Mackinac Bridge (there are no cars allowed on Mackinac Island). This is the second time around, with the first being in 2013 when about 850 Minis drove across the Mighty Mack. The ride starts in Mackinaw City and ends on the north side of the Bridge in St. Ignace (if it's like 2013). There is a FB page (2015 Mini on the Mack). Last time the sponsor was Mini of Grand Rapids, and I believe that is the same this year. Mini of Grand Rapids has a website, and I'll check it out to see if there's anything new posted. It was a lot of fun in 2013.

This was a really fun and well organized event. I went two years ago and will go this August. In alternate years we now have the likelihood of the Mini Keweenaw Rendezvous, well north of Mackinac up to Houghton, so we now have two great northern Michigan events in early August, alternate years.

I haven't see the Tail of the Dragon pathway, but I would bet like a sports fan, that the highway to Copper Harbor, and the coastal roads around the area, would hold up to any scenery in the Carolinas.
Has anyone driven both and can vote?
At any rate, everyone should travel north to Houghton next year and see this driving paradise.

We booked our hotel in St Ignace for the event as well. Should be a great time and looks to be my first major mini event. We are making a mini vacation out of it and driving up to Sault Ste Marie and then coming back down the Wisconsin side of the lake to get back to STL.
Haven't decided where to stop on the way up yet...
