We have an exciting June planned. Time to dust off the Mini and get having some fun. Mark your calendars for the following:


June 3: Social Hour-The Boat House in Forest Park. Meet around 6:30 PM.

June 12: First Annual STL Mini Club Scavenger Hunt
Time: 2:00 in front of the MUNY.
The hunt begins at 2:30

Bring a digital camera (and a connection for a computer if you have one). A co-pilot is helpful but not necessary. Barbecue provided after the hunt. Bring a non-perishable appetizer or side dish and beverage. Be sure to let John and Rita know if you are coming so we have enough food.


June 19: Ticket to the Beatles
St. Louis County Parks Department & Friends of Jefferson Barracks have invited our club to join them on June 19th at the Veterans Memorial Amphitheater for one of their Summer Concerts "Oldies by the River"featuring "Ticket to the Beatles" night on June 19th. Admission is normally $8.00, but anyone coming in with their MINI would be free. There will be a designated area to park the Mini’s.

Date: June 19, 2010
Time is 8-11 pm, gates open at 7 pm.

They offer:
Low Cost Concessions
Lawn Seating
Carry-in Food & Beverage allowed
No Glass Containers

Can't make the scavenger hunt, but the Beatles should be fun, I will bring the classic.

 

We should be able to make the Beatles night. Hopefully I won't get a cooler ding like what happened to Sunnie!

Sounds like a good time to meet new people. The wife and I and possibly a friend will be at the Scavanger Hunt and Beetles Concert.

We are going to bring a killer cheese ball and crackers for an appetizer.

The wife and I are looking forward to the 3rd as well. See everyone then.

Sounds like June is shaping up to be a full month. I am looking forward to meeting some other Mini owners so I think the wife and I will try to make the June 3rd date and the 19th date. Wish we could do the scavenger hunt but I will be motoring north to a fun filled family reunion.

 

Just wanted to put in a plug for "Ticket To The Beatles." I've seen this band on three occasions, and they really put on a heck of a show. If you like the Beatles' music, you'll appreciate how faithful these guys are to the originals.

WOW, what a great "Boathouse" turnout. 30 MINI loving people. Hope everyone had a great time and welcome to all the new people.

 

We missed the Boathouse, and from the pictures it looks like the crowd was huge! We can't make many if any of the rest of the June events, but we're looking forward to July!

Had a great time at the Beatles Concert. Pictures posted on the St. Louis Mini Club page on FACEBOOK.

 

I am with Doug on the Concert. It was awesome. Had alot of good laughs and listened to some great music as well.

 

Being a big Beatles fan I regret not being able to go to the concert.
Looks like it was a nice relaxing evening.
