Invisishield/Clear Bra Protection
Does anyone have any advice on this.
Would you or have you done it...wish that you had...regret that you had?
How much did you pay?
Also...any suggestions if one has it done whether to go with the dealership Invisishield or another aftermarket installation in the St. Louis area..and if so any recommendations?

Go to Mark at Clear Auto Bra and have him show you what it looks like when he does the whole bonnet. It ain't cheap but I think it's the way to go. Here's the link to his page http://www.ultrashieldofstl.com/

I live in the land of dirt roads and dairy farms, 'Stimulus' projects (e.g. gravel and tar), etc. I had it done when I ordered my MINI. I don't remember what it cost (but it may not matter since that was two years ago in a very different market than you're in). I had the 1/3 hood cover and lower bumper area, and back of the mirrors. I actually had the lower 1/3 of the side panels done too. I probably wouldn't do the mirrors again, but the rest of it, I'd do in a heartbeat. The MINIs are absolute bug magnets and with all the crap I have to drive through, it's been real helpful to help protect the finish and make washing a little easier (though it also presents a few challenges when waxing and finishing).
Good luck with your decision!

I had Mark at Clear Auto Bra do my 2010 S a few weeks ago. I had the car three weeks and already had three dings on the front bumper. I did not have it done to my 02 Mini and by the time I got rid of it, the front looked like hell. I paid $450 for his basic package plus another $75 for the headlights. He did a great job and if you have MINI of St. Louis do it for you he is the man they call in. I hope this helps.

Also...how visible is the treatment?...is the edge very noticeable?

It covers the bottom bumper all the way up to about an inch above the air scoop. If you email him he will give you a more detailed description than I can.
I was told to wait ten days before washing the car to let it cure so right now you can see the line from all the grime from the snow and salt, but while he was putting it on I had to get a foot away and look at the right angle to see it. I'm very happy with the way it turned out, as I was not sure what it would look like myself.
