I was talking to Rick over at MINI of St. Louis and he is very open to the idea of a open garage for Club Members on a Saturday.

Basically MINI of St. Louis would give us access to either the service loc or perhaps the prep area at the sales location. Either way we would have access to lifts, oil drain facilties, etc

Rick even offered to have one of the tech's show up and present a short DIY program on various MINI related maintenace topics and be avaialble for questions.

Keep in mind this is a DIY event with some technical support. This is not a 'have St. Louis MINI do it for you' event

Cool! It would be nice to just get the MINI up on the lift and take a good look at stuff underneath in good light.

This would be super cool of them! I don't have any projects lined up but I'd love to hang around and listen to the "tech talk" and bench racing and maybe lend a hand if someone needed it.

Yep. Last I talked to Rick they were getting back to me with date in Jan/Feb. That was a couple weeks ago

While he didn't say so I'm wondering if they put our request off for the Car Clinic they are running this week?

Has anyone done the car clinic? Worth it? I was signed up but had to cancel 'cause of a bad cold. They are extending it to next week, so I was wondering if I should sign up again.

 

I went last night. Thought it was well worth the time. You get a one on one with a certified MINI mechanic and put your car up on a lift and go over the whole car. Answered some questions I had. Time well spent
