Gateway Drag Strip

Does anyone know when and how much it costs to take your car to Gateway to go on the drag strip?

While I'm not interested in drag racing, I'd like to give the strip a try.

Check out the web site http://gatewayraceway.com/

Maybe we could do a mini thing down there? Well, maybe not ,the stock mini is no 1/4 mile car

It still surprises a few people though. Midnight Madness is $20 (unless they raise it this year) to run and I try and go to those as much as possible (or at least will once again now that I'm a bit closer). There's also test and tune night on Tuesdays which I haven't gone to since 2001 so I have no clue of the price.

BTW, I'm in the market for a better cameraman for future track events, my brother gets excited and can't sit still enough. lol

Can you choose who you run against? I looked at Gateway's website, and it looks like cars that aren't under 14 seconds in the quarter don't even need a helmet.

I would love to run my 2007 MCS against my friend's 1985 Mustang GT. I think it would be closer than he thinks. Or I'd like to run against another R56 on runflats, my manual against an automatic transmission. I won't believe it until I see it.

I'd run you but I have to wear a helmet, but for real I work there I'll keep an eye out for ya.
