7:00 AM tech opens
7:00 AM registration opens with priority to BMW and MINI owners
7:45 AM registration opens to non-bmws, any BMW/MINIs arriving after 7:45 are processed in order with the non-bmw's.
8:20 AM tech closes
8:30 AM registration closes

FIRST COME FIRST SERVED. 90 car limit

SD BMWCCA events have a history of filling up early. Plan on arriving before the 7 AM registration formally opens to get a number at the gate.

You must be a BMWCCA member ($40 and totally worth it for the Roundel magazine and the chapter newsletters)

Cost for one day is $45 per day

CLASSING: the San Diego chapter has one MINI COOPER class, so all the MINIs are thrown into the mix against each other (supercharger or not).

Curious, did you get a chance to talk to Dan Tackett regarding the MINI clasification?
Oh, and quite teasing, what are you going to drive?

 

What classes are you trying to get these guys to create?

 

Not necessarily more classes but more trophies (3 deep instead of 2 deep). With the LA contingent, the MINI category is right up there with the M classes in the number of cars competing.

 

Gotcha. I agree. They got trophies for classes with no one in them, but Mini's only get two. Pure silliness.

We did get a chance to talk to Dan Tackett. There will be trophies three deep at the next event in the MINI class.

Not that it matters, but the list needs changing. Looks like the entire female contingent will miss this one. Last I heard Bruiser wasn't driving. Otherwise, it should be a fun day. 66F and sunny.

 

Too bad a couple of our top dawgs aren't coming now -Chip and Joe- (I think its his aniversary)...still going to be a fun day - nice temp and sunny~ Ow Ow!

 

I hear ya, man. It's a sad day when a man gives up a day of racing to spend with a woman. Specially a wife.

 

It was more than my aniversary, I got stuck doing handy man sh*t. We're in the process of redooing our floors.

hard to believe driving 2 1/2 hours to an event, standing hours between squealing cars setting cones, driving for about 24 minutes, to drive 2 1/2 hours home could be so fun.
