Looking for room to rent and place for MINI

While I'm looking at craigslist and other avenues for housing, I thought I'd post a note here. I'm looking to rent a room, preferably from a house in SoCal, preferably within 0 to 10 to 15 miles of LAX as a guide.

I just need a room for myself, a safe place for my MINI, and my small 12 year old (elderly) cocker spaniel who is as sweet as can be.

I will need it to be for atleast 6 months to a year or possibly longer.

Thanks

Richard

Thanks, everything is fine. Just going through a divorce after 11 years of marriage + 6 prior years of dating. All I'm finding are dumpy old houses in not so nice areas of town right now, so I thought I might see if there were any MINI owners looking for a roommate. I need to stay close to my son, so I don't want to be too far away from the area I'm currently living in.

Wow Richard, I was just cruzing around NAM and saw this. Marla and I am so sorry to hear about this. I will ask some of my contacts in LA for some help and let you know when I find out something. Best regards, Paulie C.

Hey Paulie,
Thanks for thoughts and assistance. I'm hoping to keeping the rent in the $600 to $900 range. I don't care how small the room is. Once I get back on my feet again, I can think about finding a larger place.

For now, I'm going to be homeless in about a month if I don't find something. Well ok, not homeless, I got friends places who have offered a few nights to me. But that only goes so far.

Heck I will sleep in my MINI if need be.

Thanks

Richard

Richard, I am so sorry to learn about your divorce. Hope everything works out. I can't stop thinking about your 3 year old.

Thank you. Well my "3 year old" is really just almost 2 (in 2.5 weeks), and hes been a major factor in trying to work things out, but our issues are really beyond any possibility. The only consolation I have is that I think we've agreed upon acceptable terms that will ensure a good life for my son, and although "mommy" and I don't have a future together, we will remain good friends, and I plan to continue my active role as his father, although she will retain custody. Not sure how much, if any of this is relevant on a public forum, but I did want to mention that our decisions have been heavily biased for the good of our son, despite the fact we won't be together, which may seem like an oxymoron to some, but this our life, and not theirs.

Richard,

All my best to you in your situation. I am not able to help with the housing right now, as I am traveling on my annual roadtrip. I'm sorry to read here about the break-up.... but I respect you both for how you are handling it. Again, very best wishes.
