Me and Camel will be there if you want to come say hi. Maybe we could try and beat each others times, than wrestle in the car park, (aka parking lot) or something like that.

If my POS pit crew turn up maybe we can get drunk too, and not tell the officials.

Seriously, come out and race. Come out for 12 hours to race for 12 minutes. At least come say hi to me, it will be even better if I am a complete stranger to you, because maybe you will get an adrenalin rush coming up to someone you never talked to before. I won't bite. Actually Camel might. Wait no, Camel will just kick your ***. (On the track). In a good way of course. Camel likes to show off like that.

I hope my friendly challenge didnt scare you off or decide you dont wanna come out. Maybe your MINI can try to kick my MINI. That would be cool too. I love it when MINI's play. They all whiney and shiet when they do. It's funny to watch.

I have a torque wrench too. I'll probably bring it. I can show it to ya'll if you come.

Ok. So see you guys at California Speedway Saturday morning early. 7am latest if you wanna play too. If you coming to watch then turn up anytime. Just dont forget to come and say hi. Or say something silly like "Peachy has gone south for the week." Yeah, that will work too.

By the way, this is a BMWCCA Event, so if you want to play/race you need to sign up with them.

Looking at the classing the rear swaybar throws you into the 4-cylinder modified class with the unlimited r-compound cars.

 

Really? Thats ok if that is the case.

Usually BMWCCA put all the MINI Cooper S's in 1 class, and the Coopers in another, regardless of mods.

It's a nice free for all. Or Orgy, depending on how you look at it.

Looks like I need to re-up my BMWCCA status. I'm strongly considering coming out tomorrow for this.

It's been far too long (2 years) since i last autocrossed. It'll be good to do it again.

 

I was just reading through the rules. It says NO course walking prior to the event and there is only ONE timed run for trophies :impatient the rest are all practice.

 

Yep.

The trick though, is to get a rides with as many instructors as you can in THEIR cars. Beats walking.

(And dont let any of them drive your car if you can help it. Hate it when they try to do that.)

 

I had the exact OPPOSITE reaction! Given the oh so eloquent invitation extended by camelpilot, I really wish I could join in on the fun (at least the drinking, biting, *** kicking, and showing of the "tools").

 

I'm going to be in SoCal tomorrow, I will try and come by. To far to get there intime to compete though.

I have to say that after all of us just getting home from this Killer all day event... it really says something that both CamelPilot, and DID are also online with me, on NAM at this moment in time...

I had a great time today and it was nice to see a good MINI turnout (especially considering Charlie and I both just paid out BMWCCA dues yesterday).

 

Wish I could have made it. Would have liked to meet you guys. Didn't meet you at AMVIV, atleast I don't think so.

Its hard to watch and not compete though.

 

Glad you guys had a great time. Sure wished I could have gone. Instead I bowed out to meet a lady to see some property that she herself flaked on me, so I ended up doing nothing.
