MitM MINIs in the Mountains - Colorado 2006

Start making plans now for MINIs in the Mountains (MITM) Aug. 10-13, 2006 at Copper Mountain Resort in Colorado. Copper is just 75 miles west of Denver, over the Continental Divide, in the heart of many scenic, high altitude and twisty highways. Lots of family activities, rides, vendor events, get-togethers and more are planned. See the NAM (US Nat'l Events) "1st Annual MINIs in the Mountains (2006)" for updates and information as it becomes available. Plan to motor your Cooper to Copper!

See the NAM Main Menu or see our Forums in NAM or contact us at

We would love to have some of your group out

and I know there are already SoCal folks planning on the visit. Yes, it is a hike and yes, Utah, AZ, NM and NV are beautiful too.

We are encouraging folks to plan a vacation around this trip as Copper Mtn and the surrounding area are great for families and there are tons of activities at the resort and elsewhere. We want pp to come early or stay late.

Housing is the easiest part of this event - 3000 rooms at Copper alone and many more in the area.

See you at AMVIV...we will promote there too.

We already have 5 members of C3 in the strongly interested camp. I'm planning on having some kind of a SoCal caravan out.

Speaking of AMVIV, will Copper be giving any AMVIV-esque discounts?

Glad you asked

We are just finishing negotiations and contract work with the resort. We don't have final pricing yet but there will be 'levels' of accomodations you can choose. As you can imagine, in a resort like this there is everything. Depending on whether you want indoor parking (good in winter, not critical in summer) hot tub, pool on site or next door, kitchen or kitchenette, etc. that will determine the choice you make. Prices will reflect amenities.

In the next few days we will post the accomodations details and you will be able to book direct with CopperColorado, a la AMVIV.

Thank you for asking.

This caught my attention because I'm off during the summer, being a public schoolteacher.

Thanks for the expedient responses.

Colorado is rich in history

and we hope that you and others discover some of that during your visit. Perhaps this becomes a class assignment for your students or something else of value you can share with others. Whatever, we plan to have everyone enjoy the Colorado family experience before, during, and after their stay.

Damn, I am jealous....don't you guys have jobs??

It was like pulling teeth from my boss to get AMVIV off for this year!!
Juan I know you're a teacher and that gives you 13 weeks off (at least you're not teaching in my area...year-round has gotta suck!), but gawd, I gotta find a better job

Seriously, the Colorado trip will be a blast, I haven't been there since 1973 (yeah, I'm kinda old....) but I remember the roads up and over the Divide like, 24;50;160 et al great roads!

1973 and we moved to Boulder Colorado immediately across from Folsom Field. I wasn't even a year old yet.

Yes Gomez, we have jobs

and we work hard in the insurance business. We also have pp who work hard, when we are not working hard. And customers pay their bills, whether or not we are working hard.

My wife is limited to 3 weeks off so I take the extra time for my 'fun' which frankly, she would not enjoy much anyway. Then I get some extra time with my boy for spring break (both are coming out to AMVIV, flying, then she is staying over a few days, then she is leaving, then the little guy and I will discover the Grand Canyon) and so on.

Yes, I appreciate and value the free time. I have to hump it in between to make it work. And I can still take calls and solve problems from places other than my desk.

Is this a great country, or WHAT?????
